God Helps Eliezer | 1-4yrs Sunday on Thursday

What did we learn?

This week we learned about how God helped Eliezer find a wife for Isaac. We talked about how Eliezer asked for God to help him. He asked that the woman would offer him water and offer water to his camels, too. God did help him, and Rebekah was the woman who God had for Isaac. We learned to say, "God, please help me." We recreated the story in our bin filled with cereal sand. Then we each colored a camel to take home. On the camel, it said, "As for me, the Lord has led me on the journey..." (Genesis 24:27).

Art Time

God's Help Reminder

On a piece of paper, write the words, "God please help me." Then, have your child decorate that paper. Hang it in a spot in your house where your child will see it often. Eliezer was given the task of finding the woman who was to marry Isaac, and he asked for God's help. In times when your child has something hard or new to do, use this sign as a reminder to ask for God's help. When your child is being tempted to sin or needs to ask for forgiveness, use this as a reminder to ask for God's help.
