Jacob & Esau | 1-4yrs Sunday on Thursday

What did we learn?

This week we learned about how Isaac and Rebekah were given Jacob and Esau. We talked about the differences in the way the two looked and in the things they liked to do. We played with kitchen toys to remind us that Jacob liked to stay behind and cook while his brother enjoyed going to hunt. We made paper bag puppets, and put extra hair on the one labeled Esau. We ended our time celebrating that we can learn to love and obey God in the Bible alone!

Activity Time

Cooking Together

Either pretend to cook together with food toys or cook a simple recipe together. As you cook, talk together about the two sons that Isaac had, Jacob and Esau. Talk about what each son enjoyed doing--that Jacob enjoyed staying home while his brother went to hunt. For the entire month, we will be talking about how Jacob cooked and God’s sovereign plan prevailed.
